Now loosen the screws holding the lever to the shaft. Rotate it until it's in the "low" position.
Pack the grease into the pinion gear cavity. Fill it!
Time to pack the gear cavity with Grease! 2hp versions take two tubes. I used Mobil EP 1 grease
Once the clamps are released test the hi-low lever to ensure it engages and seats in both hi and low detents.
Now loosen the screws holding the lever to the shaft. Rotate it until it's in the "low" position.
Turn the detent plate until the holes line up with the holes in the gear housing. Secure in place with the two remaining cap head screws.
Lubricate the gear teeth and shaft of the hi-low shift crank with super lube or something similar. Insert into the casing.

The gear in it's (should be still) clamped down position is in LOW. With the detent plunger clicked into the low detent re-tighten the cap screws to re secure the handle to the clutch shaft. Now you can slowly loosen up the clamps holding the bull gear down. See next picture.
