This is a Norton 6 x 18 hydraulic surface grinder, or as it was called in its day, "grinding machine" It was built in 1942, the same year that it's designer,Charles H. Norton, died. I am in the process of fixing it up a bit, as it lacks some minor parts.
The Jet-16 Drilling & Milling Machine. 12 speeds, 9 3/8" x 23 1/2" table. It's missing the pulley covers, and therefore unfortunately the speed chart as well. But I got me a little 'lectronic tacho gaget, and one day I'll play me some "musical fan belts" and draw me up a chart.
