edit: oops, now I get it, the back part folds down to make an extended table, correct?
Yup, you got it. Here's my version. I used a door hinge because I have a bucket full of them, plus it saved me a whole lot of machine time.

thanks a lot for posting the pics. Brilliant idea to use the hinge, why "reinvent the wheel", I have a ton of hinges myself, definitely on the to do list.

Happy, healthy, and prosperous new year to all!

Wow lots of cool little doodads being made by all you guys. I'm still mostly doing fixes, repairs and making mounts for lights, tools etc.
This week I found an excuse to use the hardinge collet index fixture I picked up last year. Made a chuck key missing from my 3-jaw chuck. Been using a 3/8 ratchet which does the job but reversing the lever constantly kind of stinks.
Nothing earth shattering or beautiful but hey its POTD and its all i got

Hey Cheesy
This is neat, precise, well made and what works for U.
That's what matters at the end of the day.
It don't have to be fancy stuff like what some of the pros present here
We also have a 5C Fixture we'd like to try and do the same kind of things with, some time.
Just go on making chips and posting 'cos I think we all had to start somewhere
With Your posting this we now have an even better idea of how these kind of Toolings ought to be made
Kudos to U, man
Thanks for sharing
All the best
aRM
BTW, I like that small rose cutter of Yours on the mill - cute !!!

Hi CHEESY
Is that a Colchester lathe U have there ???
Know they had GAMET BEARINGS on their machines.
Like Your CHUCK GUARD. Really nice. We having enough splashings all over the shore with our Lathe. Getting thick of that.
Did U install that Yourself or did it come with the machine ???
If U did, where did U get Yours from ???
Thanks in advance
Kindest regards
aRM
