Bill, I have enjoyed this thread! Excellent work and craftsmanship, ready to see you put it in service. Thanks for sharing the journey!

Thank you David. The journey is getting there but a ways to go yet. Some real machine work is coming up. The tower and spindle mount are about to start. Hoping for Monday. This weekend is my Birthday and people will be coming and going. Four friends from Viet Nam are arriving tomorrow morning. We haven't seen each other in some 20 odd years. Gonna be a blast.

Happy birthday, Billy!

Interesting coincidence--haven't seen or heard anything about/from any of my VN buddies since '68. Last year I was shocked to get a call from one of the guys alerting me that a bunch have been found and have been going to reunions! This week one of the guys that I was pretty close to visited from North Carolina! Impossible to describe, to non-combat types, just how important these re-connections can be. Brought back a lot of serious thoughts. But it was great to see an old friend.

Sunday, the 9th. 68 years young. Took a long time to get here.:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Happy Birthday Bill!

Take the time, you have earned it. Still enjoying the thread. Can't believe there is some serious machining to come after what I have seen.
Enjoy your weekend.:drink2:
