I have a pair of LED fog lights on my BMW F800GS which were mounted onto the crash bars. After five years of abuse, I needed to replace the bars and went with a different brand, thus needed to redo the light mounts. I've seen these types of mounts available to purchase, but there's no fun in that when you have machining tools and equipment. Fairly simple little project, I milled both as a single piece then cut the block in two and refaced those sides, then finished off with slitting them apart.
