Electrical dummy needs help w/110 motor

Hi guys -
I just bought a SB shaper and need help wiring the motor. The motor is an older (I think) GE 110v. There are no numbers or info on the motor, not even wiring diagram. The previous owner did have it wired for 110. But had unhooked the motor wiring when he crated the unit up.

So, as expected I have a white, black & ground wire coming in. Under the motor plate I have 5 terminals, the jumpers were there from PO ... so I suspect should remain. The terminal numbers are numbered from top: 1,2, there is a number3 stamped next to the 2 but no terminal and then 4, 5 & 6. So, where do I connect my wires to? I would think L1 to T1/T2, L2 to T4/T5. Anything to T6? Ground wire to the case?

how did you go about figuring it out ? i'm just curious.

Well, since I am not that smart with motor electrics ... I guessed, LOL.

The old gent that rebuilt it was meticulous. Since it had been running before being unwired, was crated for storage, I was +99.99% sure the jumpers (in the pic) were correct. This meant that L1 & L2 only had three places they could go ... T1/2, T4/5 or T6. One terminal for T1/2 & T4/5 had two nuts atop the jumper, T6 only had one nut (total). So I surmised that the second nuts on those terminals were for the black & white wires and that T6 probably had no connection. Also, I realized that the ground wire went to the lower case bolt (in the pic) as there is a clearance channel for the wire to exit once the plate is installed.

Maybe not the best electrically sound approach to take ... but the shaper is purring like a kitten.

Terrywerm - Take a look at my shaper gloat thread in the South Bend forum. :))

I know I'm a bit late to the party but here is the diagram on the back side of the cover of the similar GE motor on my SB Shaper. They look a bit different, is your motor maybe single voltage rather than 110/220 like mine? Anyway I posted the picture in case someone in the future needs it.
