B Bar Insert Type

I can't tell you much about your bar, because the old numbering system does not use ANSI nomenclature. It appears to have 90 deg. walls, therefor neutral relief (insert is tipped negative for axial and radial relief). ANSI standard inserts are measured by their IC (Inscribed Circle). If your bar accepts 1/4" IC insert, TNMG221 for example, you should be able to place a 1/4" disk on the seat and touch the side walls and have a little bit of the disk hanging over the front of the bar. The ANSI system uses IC to describe the insert size, but, the ISO system relies on cutting edge length to describe the same insert. A 1/4" IC in the ISO description would be 11 (mm cutting edge length). This is a soft conversion, it is not precise. If this is a 1/2 inch bar, a 3/8 IC triangle would be wider than the front of the bar.

Good Luck!
Best Regards, Gary

Thanks hgk.
Just picked up over 25 of the TNFM 2.522 EL for around $20 total. Less than a buck apiece.
