First Mill

Hi
Looks ok to me, i would pay $600 for it, the vice & bits must be $100 to $150, go for it. :encourage::encourage::encourage::encourage::encourage:

If the way's, bearings, nuts and screws are in good condition it's a real bargain.
Can't see what manufacture that vise is but it's probably worth at least a good portion of the $600.

I don't know yet about power Mark. Although I have been collecting tooling here and there for the past year without a machine, so I guess I'll figure power out after the fact if I do purchase. Although I have a deployment in five months and a move in the middle of deployment, so I might purchase, clean and paint, and bring to like new condition with the exception of the motor and set it up at its new home in a year. I let a good deal go last year, so I might grab this while I can, condition of the machine permitting.

Looks like a good deal to me, as for the motor, you could either replace it with a single phase, or get a VFD unit to power the original motor.

Any reason its not yours yet? If in halfway decent shape it would have been gone in my neck of the woods.

Well one reason, I won't be in NC for five more days. I've contacted the guy, but no holds from him. If it sells it sells. So I'm hoping, but I don't know if it'll still be there.

It looks like a very good deal, but you wont know till you see it or run it. If you are flush enough, you could wire him the money with written understanding that if you do not like what you see , when you get there, you get all your money back except a troublesome fee, like $50 or so. He might like that, and you would have some assurance that its not a turd.

Looks like a great machine if in half decent shape
Good Luck
michael

The vice looks like one I have from HF, works fine for me. Table looks pretty good, on a WAG, looks like it might be a low use machine. Even if it needs a little love, that's a very good price for what your getting. Mike
