Yep, that's exactly the case. I was hand applying the WD-40 so that was inadequate. Gummed up then froze up quicker than I could hit the E-stop. Looking at 3 flute roughers now and gonna give it another shot when I get a couple.
Will be using copious coolant, lower feed rate and slightly less speed. Wasn't concerned with accurate slot size as I was profiling out some parts and running a full depth finish pass with a 1/2" 3 flute.
