Took an old "Primos - Group therapy" rifle rest and modified it a little. You can take the back part off to use just as a front bench rest. So I stripped the paint off cut about an inch out of the main center post and then painted it "Wrinkle" black paint. Then took the basic pad and rest platform off and maid my own. Got my idea from looking at several that are on the market and combined the features that they had and this is what I came up with. It's made out of aluminum. So it's heavy and steady but not overly heavy. The rest has vertical and horizontal (windage) adjustment. I went a little overboard with the polishing but I thing it makes it look high end.

This is my first project with my new PM-25MV mill and PM-1127-VF-LB lathe. To be honest this is my first attempt to do anything with machining.

It certainly looks professional/commercial. For a first project it's a winner.

You just like to jump in with both feet dont you! Your gonna fit in real well around here.

Sent from somewhere in East Texas Jake Parker

That looks real good, do you shoot competition?

Thanks for all the compliments! This was a fun first project. I go a little overboard when I get into a hobby. Believe it or not I've been learning from reading and looking at pictures from this web forum. Lot's of great info here. Also my favorite is Youtube. There's a whole lot of info and learning there!!!
I'm not a competition shooter, just a beginner. Went to our local shooting range and seen some guy with a neat looking Sinclair rest and was shocked at what he said he paid for it. Went home and googled "Rifle front bench rest" and was amazed at all the different styles and prices. Borrowed ideas from several and came up with mine own creation.

So what kinda rig are you shooting off that rest? Just figured it was a BR rifle with that 3" bag.
