I am looking for the Hydraulic Downfeed Article for the 4X7 Bandsaw that was featured in Vol 28 (2015) #5 (October/November) Machinist Workshop Magazine. All help appreciated.

A quick look into the "piles" and I have the copy in my hand. I will be going into town later today and will stop at staples and make a copy for your education.

You want PDF or hard copy?

All it takes is a 6" cylinder and a
F400S 1/4 NPT PARKER FLOW CONTROL VALVE 359853
Item# 9-5300-25 $21.95
New PARKER. All steel valve with "Colorflow" color band for easy flow adjustments.
F SERIES Adjustable flow control valve provides precise control of oil flow and shut-off in one direction and full flow the opposite direction.

I did this to my HF 4x6...works great,

How do I PM you with a file attachement? I have looked for a way but cannot find any.

The file I have is not that good! Had the girl at Staples do it and she kind of missed some the information near the backbone of the pages. I will get it done over but in the meantime I will send what I have if I can figure out how its done.

I had not read the article you are looking for since my WF Wells band saw has the feature built in. Today while waiting for the wife at the mall I took a look at it. The way shown in the article seems a lot more complicated than what is on my WF Wells saw. The WF Wells method could be duplicated using a standard cylinder and a few simple parts. But if you are looking for a lot of parts to make then the other method is the way to go.

I have attached a couple of pictures showing the WF Wells method.
