Never Leveled My Lathe

Run the C channel left to right instead of front to rear and place a leveling foot in the middle of each.

Boy, mws, talk about a "light bulb going off" kind of moment. I think that would be a perfect solution, not just here, but for any lathes with 6 or 8 feet. Even if you didn't want the extra height, you could use heavy flat bar. Thanks for the enlightenment, JR49

I have a 16 x 40" Grizzly. It bolts to a 1/4" thick very heavy low "cabinet" base. Made in 1986. I have adjusted the feet as much as I can towards getting the bed straight. But,I still have had to unbolt the tail end of the bed and insert shims under the front edge to get the bed truly straight.
