I am currently starting my rendition of Steve Hucks demon v8 engine. For those of you that aren't familiar, Steve built a 1/5 scale v8 engine that runs on gasoline. All parts must be hand created, even the spark plugs. He has done an excellent job at documenting his work and has made plans available for purchase. I purchased the plans and have started the block. I am building this in my spare time (lunch breaks and the occasional Saturday) so don't expect it to be done any time soon lol. I started with a scrap of aluminum and made some chips. I will try to keep updating this thread as I go along, hope you all enjoy. Image1463660195.305904.jpg this is the squared block and rough cylinders. Steel sleeves will be pressed in and bored once the block is complete. Water jackets will be cut with a woodruff cutter to allow the block to be water cooled.

I followed Steve's build. He does some great work. I just wish I had the patience to build one.
here is the demon.

Here is another guy that builds some nice engines/

I've been working on this engine I just posted a vid of the spark plug insulators being turned up. Been a fun build so far except for the crank which was a bit scary. Looks like you are on your way good luck and have fun!

Are you going to use the Blower option? I have the prints for the Demon and the Blower. Good luck. I will be watching.

I guess not.. Maybe in the new year coming there will be some time...??..??

If there is one thing I have learned about a project of this magnitude it is that it is a labor of love. It is only worked on when the mood is right. Any other time would be a disaster. My 18 cylinder is going into its 5th year of building now. Last year saw only a few hours of work. Mucho patience is required and a vast amount of knowledge. My hat is off to anyone who begins one.
