Because of reasons I will not discuss here I have decided to do my ar builds with this caliber. I have two barrel blanks on order that I may be able to build 4 barrels out of. I just found a site that sells once fired 556 and converted to 300 at 140 per 1000 or 340 for 2500, any thoughts?

out of respect for the forum rules I would like to keep certain aspects of the 300 out of the post

thanks

Thought about it all day and went ahead and placed an order, now to source primers, powder, projectiles, and a reloader. Any thoughts?

Supplies are getting scarce due to panic and speculation buying. I laid up enough for my forseeable .223 needs starting back in September, but it may not be enough. Sounds like you got fair pricing.

Going to be moving in a couple months to an acreage. As luck would have it, my son owns an excavation business. He'll be clearing and grading a custom range for me, for pistol, rifle, and bow. All I have to do is mow it after the grass grows in.

From everything I've read, the 300 Blk is a sweetheart. I think you will find load info and tips on the AR forum maybe? I plan to build one soon as well. Luckily I started gathering components long before the 'rush'. I'll be following this one.

Have not got my 300 brass put I did get these in the other day. My loader should be in on Friday. No telling on the dies, they are on back order.

One can never have too much brass. I think one of my lowers is destined to married to a 300 BLK upper.

N3480h,
if you are going to turn your own barrel green mountain sells 25 inch barrel for 50 + shipping. You can get a 16 and a SRB out of that
