A Small Steam Engine That I Have Been Slowly Building

I started this project over three years ago with the flywheel.
    It's slowly coming together.

There were no plans Just made from what was in the scrap bin.
I still need to make the manifold that will bolt to the bottom of the
heads and some kind of frame for it. And maybe one day a simple boiler.

I will post more pictures as it progresses

Nice! Does it really need that much counterbalance, though?

Really like that you didn't do just another wobbler. Major props!

Ah! Beautiful! I'll bet she runs "right out of the box". This is my kind of project, and my dream once I gain the experience. Love steam engines.
May I be the kind of person that my dog thinks I am.

Re: A Small Steam Engine That I Have Been Slowly Building

I found some old pictures on my hard drive of when I built the fly wheel and crankshaft.
I heated the crank wheel to a dull red in my pellet stove and tapped the shafts in with a hammer.
