we have been cleaning it up and making springs and screws over sized pins

Very cool. Do you have any of the other parts and are restoring them or are you planning to build a rifle using this as the base?

i have made a hammer spring and a trigger return spring bushed the lever screw hole and welded up the back of the breach to ensure head space proper l havent been able to load any new pic yet still trying i plan it to be a fine shooting stick

fitted the action to the stock and finshed up the upper tang excpt for the screw hole 013.JPG015.JPG

Hey Norm,

I've never seen an 1889 Favorite. There appear to be subtle difference between it and the 1915 model. The extractor for instance is totally different.

It's looking good so far. How are you going to finish it? I think originally the receiver was color case hardened and the rest blued.
