Looking at various, small heat treatment ovens for small parts (up to 10" long)??

What are some good quality furnaces with or w/o digital ramp temp controls that is programmable.
I expect an oven like this will be in the $1200 range or maybe more. I'm looking for quality, well made
and precise temp controls. Thanks

Cress heat treating furnaces are made in the USA. Smaller ones up to 200,000 btu and heat range to 2250 degrees. There are a couple used Johnson furnaces on Ebay.
Cheers
Martin

Thank you. I will look at it. Shipping may be too prohibitive through Ebay. I will look at new and used.
I would like to experiment with A1 and S7 tool steel for vise jaws, punches and other small parts and tools.

I see that some people are going with Dental burn out ovens. They're smaller but just right for small parts.
These dental ovens can also be found for less $$$. Up to 2000° F
First, I will try Mikeys' Home Heat Treat method with a $40 Hamilton Beach toaster oven.
Just ordered 99.9% pure technical grade Boric acid powder.

IMO the best ones are the cheapest. at least around here it seems that ceramic hobbyists bail out often, and just want to get rid of their equipment. I got mine for $20.00

OK. What is a ceramic hobbyist? Do you mean ceramic pottery? Pottery kiln?

I would look at something like jewelry, heat treating or knife furnaces. The knife making furnace may be more ideal because of the length. These are programmable for ramp up and hold time with very precise temperature (~0.2%). I have an older Pargon heat treating furnace I got from my dad who used it for jewelry, works great for heat treating.

You might check the used market such as Craigslist or eBay, but often they are in pretty ratty condition and do knot have precise heat control.

I found mine at a garage sale. The temperature knob is not well calibrated, but a remote thermometer and pencil marks on the dial pretty much take care of that.
