Early lathe identification query

No mate, thats the tricky part.
MacPherson as far as i can find out imported lathes early on in the piece and then started producing their own.
During my apprenticeship i used a macson lathe which i think may be one made in australia.
Ive searched all the Aussie manufacturers i can find with no luck so far.

There was a lot of machines cloned here, South Bend/Hercus being one of the more commonly known ones.
My knowledge/recollection is same as above, McPhersons were an importer primarily.

Tony's pages give several names of manufacturers/importers that swapped, chopped and changed bits and pieces, similar to Atlas 10/12" lathes sent to U.K.

One of those was "Erlich", German from memory,

My leader is a later model than what you have there, but the bed/legs and tailstock look the same.

Have loaded a few pic's to an album, thought i had some of the tailstock, alas no, so i'll hafta take some. More to come.

Edit. Tailstock pics are in now.
