I can't remember what they call the little spring loaded ball chingaderas (that's a southwestern technical term) that are used to oil machines. I need some replacement 8mm diam sized ones for my lathe.

I put OIL into mine, not grease. Grease usually is pumped into a nipple of some type.

I just checked your link. I don't think those are what he is referring to. Google ball spring oilers or ball oilers. The key word is OIL,not grease.

My oil can has a little keystone (from the side view) shaped tip on the end. I hook the tip under the ball, and squirt oil into the fitting, letting the ball pop back into place when done.

That's the dude I'm looking for. A ball oiler.

Found some. Called oil hole covers.

Thanks for the help guys.

You can do a goggle search for "Gits Oilers", they have all kinds of oilers.

I'd call you a zerk for that howler ... but we're supposed to be polite on this forum, so I wonct.

Zerk fitting are designed to have grease or oil forced through them. I think he needs to type that the ball is used to keep dirt out of hole. not sure if those are screwed in or pressed in. I've used several old machines where those fittings were damaged or missing.
