So I have to implement some safety items for work, one of the action items is to enclose the ball screws on our Bridgeport series 1 mills, along with the Trak DPM's and open bed Miltronics.....so not one person that I know has ever got hung up by crawling UNDER a mill and their hand stuck in a ball screw. Has anyone ever even heard of a cover for a ball screw that is under a table???? Its a new one for me. Tim

I would suggest a large welded cage around the machine. That way nobody could possibly get close enough to get hurt or get to the ON switch.

We are going to kick it back as it affects accuracy and useable distance on the machine, not everything must be done every time there is an audit.
