Shop Press Brinell test

If I'm not mistaken, the load for a Brinell test is 3000 lbs. not 3 tons, and that's using a harden 10mm diameter steel ball. Correct me if I'm wrong.

They make a cheaper 10X lighted scope that has a graduated scale you use to measure the average diameter of the indention made by the penetrator.

Edit:
Oops, got that wrong. My King Brinell Hardness chart says 3000 Kg load, sot that would be about 6 ,000 lbs. So you are correct. My mistake.

Update: After taking photos from impressions and converting pixels to mm my measurements fall inside expected for each material. Good step but still there space for improvements.
