Broken Leg - Can't Work- Need Help!

16311834_1480228675.4889.jpg

Hi, my name is Tony Wells. I am 56 years old and have a family of 3. I work for myself in (my own) small machine shop.

Unfortunately, on April 14, I fell in my home and broke my leg. I had to undergo surger
y as this was the upper (thigh) leg bone. It did not break clean, so the doctors had to use a plate and some screws to hold everything in position while it heals.

I am not allowed to put pressure on my left leg at all. I use a walker to get around, but it is very difficult to leave my home. Using a walker has resulted in nerve damage in my hands. This may be permanent.

For the next few months I will not be able to do any work at all. I have not set foot in my shop since I broke my leg. I have no cash reserves and am broke. Please help me make it until I can get back on my feet. I need your help badly.

I thank you in advance for your kindness. God Bless You!

Thank you!

Log onto your PayPal account, choose "pay or send money" then "friend or family" then enter Tony's email: tcwells@hotmail.com and follow the prompts from there..

That hurts just looking at the x-rays,when you hit the 50's you just don't heal as fast.Bout yr ago someone did something for me and I ask what I owe him and he said "just do something nice for someone"so here's a chance for me to do just that for someone who has done so much for the membership.
I sent gift to live.com address which was in the email but its different than address above, hope gift made it-----

I feel for this guy particularly since we would not have this problem in the UK due to NHS.

There has been some confusion on the email address. My apologies. Miscommunication between Nelson and I, I believe. Either tc.wells@live.com (notice the extra period) or tcwells@hotmail.com (no extra period....had that account since the origin of HoTMaiL, for all you Geeks out there. Since there seems to be more trouble with the live.com address, I suggest we abandon trying it. The hotmail address is working fine as far as I know.

And By the way......you guys are the greatest! I can never repay the kindness I have been shown, but please believe me, it is very much appreciated and it is something I will always treasure. And I will remember when I am able to do the same for someone else.

Cats don't have owners, they have Staff. I know....I have several. Some are good companions, but a couple are feral rescues and are slow to come around. Fortunately, I have a connection in the animal rescue endeavor who has yet other connections with several grocery stores (some chains, pretty large) and gets all their "damaged" goods. If someone rips a bag of food open, or some accident happens, they donate the food to her, and she is helping us keep the cats fed. She gets pallets of food for dogs and cats as she tries to rehome them. Typically she has about 50 cats and 75 dogs at any given time. She very loving to the animals, and I have in the past been able to help her in various ways. It's good to have friends in the right places.

Thank you Bob.......and all the rest. You're doing a wonderful thing, and I say this not simply because I am the recipient, but no matter who it is, one in need is indeed fortunate to receive the help they get.

Hi Tony, I just made a contribution directly to your email through PayPal. As I mentioned, I have been able to learn a great deal from this site and feel the least I can do is give something back to those who helped make it happen. Wishing you a speedy recovery from up here in Canada... As a father of young kids I can imagine how tough this must be. All the best!

Tony check the live account as I sent you some money last night. It shows in my Paypal account so it should be there.

Thanks, LL.....I appreciate it!

Brooks, I'll check on yours specifically and let you know. If you used it without the "." in there tc . wells it won't go through, but you should have received a bounce notice on it. If you didn't it's probably fine.

I tried to give money to the GoFundMe site and it said that the organizer needs to contact them over some issue. Alternatively, Tony, you could send me a Paypal request. I will not start a Paypal account again (saga) but I can pay as a guest.

What about EMTs? If you do your banking online, there should be an option for you to transfer an amount to an email address. You set up a password that you only give to the recipient.
The recipient gets an email saying there is money waiting and follows the instructions to deposit the money, has to give the password.
It is bank to bank. It costs the sender a fee of $1 but the recipient usually has no fees to pay.
It sounds complicated but it isn't. No PayPal or GoFundMe involved.
Let me know if you want more details, its the way to go.

Tony do you think it's wise to give your home address in case someone wants to send you a check directly?
I used PayPal but some folks are not hooked up on it...?
