A lot of good stuff here. I personally don't like the old Mit analog counter gages, but everything looks good.
I'd be interested in that Mit and Compac dti. Anything that isn't near perfect is too expensive to repair, unless you get a great deal.
The older Mit stuff is obsolete(analog) and parts are probably not available.

There's hundreds of dollars worth of instruments there.

that is a treasure trove!

I'd offer him 500 and settle for 600. If you pay much more you can buy what you want retail and not have any of the extras. At 500 it is a great deal. At 600 I think it is iffy. For instance, I just bought a 3-4" Mitutoyo disc mic in the plastic (and never used) for $75.00 CDN.

Used mics go for about 50% of retail even in great shape. Older ones at less than that.

$1000 is way too much. Given that you don't know the history of these gages and the high repair bills if somethings isn't perfect.
A mic or DI costs over $100 to repair, and..if parts are still available. Lot sales usually command less $$$
$500 is more in line for that lot and if everything checks out., $600 tops. IMHO.

Don't know if you are hobby type or pro, but if hobby, how often do you really need a mic that is larger than 1". I have lots of hi quality measuring tools and gladly pay the price for swiss made DTI but over 1" I rarely use so I have cheap Chinese stuff. Put that money towards other tooling that is of frequent use. That whole lot might bring 5 or 600 if parted out on ebay and you excepted returns, if not, looks like a pile of used stuff that you likely don't need.
