What type coolant

I am new to surface grinding and was wondering which coolant you have found best synthetic or water soluble?

Synthetic is my choice, but bio stability is an issue with either type; if not used frequently, an oil "skin" over the coolant can lead to a "bio event" that form a skin over the coolant causing oxygen deprivation that breaks down the coolant, leading to BIG rust problems. I think some folks have used a device like a fish tank aerator to bubble air into the coolant tank to ward off the problem. Thank the government's efforts to eliminate nitrosamines from our environment for these problems; nitrites were used to preserve coolants in the past ----
