The spindle pulley hub key is square.
Install the snap ring on the spindle pulley hub.
Snap ring that holds the stationary vari-disc pulley in place.
Press the spindle pulley hub into the stationary vari-disc pulley.
The spindle pulley hub key is square.
Time to install the key into the spindle pulley hub. (note this is spindle pulley hub that was broken in my original post.) This one is brand new.
Install the bearing spacer ring. It just slides into place. At this point you want to check and make sure the brake bearing cap spins without binding.

The spindle pulley hub key is square.

.. you should note here the splines on the 2hp version are small like shown. If you have "thick" splines It is for a smaller HP (1 to 1-1/2) head. At least that's the way I understand it. I had a horrible time attempting to get a used one... failed had to buy brand new.
