the bracket was too big for my vise.. I removed one of the jaws to make it happen. I didn't notice at the time but you can see that the back movable portion of the vise lifts up quite a bit. Later I figured out what was happening and set the bracket on a parallel, not shown. Operating your vise this was .. not recommended but I couldn't afford another bigger vise at the time and was unsure at the time how to clamp it to do the facing without a vise.
