That can be done Stan. I will give it some thought. While I have you here and you others to, what do you think of using a 5 inch diameter. 3 legged spider handle to raise and lower the wheel spindle assembly??

I'm not exactly following where that would go, Bill. Are you saying, instead of the brass knob?

To replace this white knob. That rod raises and lowers the wheel head assembly. Utilizing a spider will speed it up.

Oh yeah!!! Spider wheel for sure. :applause:

You're having way too much fun with this. Besides,...... I want to see how you make the spider wheel.

This one is too big but it is a start on the concept. It's made from scrap. The finished wheel will be Brass and the legs will be topped with Brass Balls.

Bill that doesn't work for me, and I have been watching this project faithfully. I think it should be like a wheel with three spokes and a circular periphery.

David

I really appreciate that you came forward with that David. I was hoping someone would see that. It was a good idea but just doesn't fit the rest of the work. I had to see it to find out. I am going back to the drawing board on this on. Maybe a wheel with a fold down handle. I will get it right.
