Freak that looks good. Handy to have don't use mine often but went you need it, it sure is cool. Besides I just love using it. Mine is made with a triangle insert. What plan did you follow? I keep thinking about remaking the tool holder to take HHS but with the left side of the tool holder cut back to allow more clearance.

Looking at the strimmer & the damage , I've often wondered if adding something like a few drops of Slick engine oil treatment to the two stroke mix would help the simple two stroke engine with regards to a better less friction lubrication. I sold my 7 month old 50 cc brush cutter when I down sized from the small farmstead so I never had the opportunity to experiment

Half completed some mini DROs made from salvaged digital tire tread depth gauges! Pretty pumped for make shift DRO setup for $15!
I'm not sure I'd trust Tire depth guages. Do you have any way of testing them? You might want to spring for HF calipers for the tesk if you can scrape togather the $10 they cost. It is getting harder to catch them on sale for $10 a piece tho.

Finished my 2 x 72 Belt Grinder Last night. Took a while to get the Belt to track straight though. Found that the tracking wheel does not need much crown to it. Had to redo it as the first one had too much. Need to finish up by cutting the axle bolts to length.

Great looking grinder. Can you post how you did your wheels and how much crown worked for you?

The digital read out on the tread depth guages is identical to the ones on cheap digital calipers. The repeat-ability has proven very reliable in my testing, and the accuracy of these is beyond my skill at the moment anyways. haha

Here's the how to I am basically following:

Looks good. Do those go to half a thou? My tie depth gauge is a piston & tube style that reads in 32nds. Lol

I bought a digital depth gauge of eBay that eats batteries like crazy. Other then that it works well. Mine doesn't look like that tho.
