Pass Around 2016

Hey gang, finally surfacing for air. Cleared off my bench the evening it came in (over a week ago) and just this evening got back into my shop.
Came in a week ago - Tuesday, so I'm a bit behind. What a nice aluminum shipping 'container'! Kudos to @rmack898.

One thing I would like to note to all, tape all the edges and corners. When I received it, one cardboard edge was worn off and torn.
I swear that there is a conveyor somewhere on the way to the Knoxville area that likes 'chewing' boxes.
The tape will help with the friction/wear as the box makes the gauntlet through the conveyors.

I've got two suggestions to make:
The first being - we should affix a label on the inside of the lid with someone's name & address just in case the the aluminum box
breaks out of the cardboard shipping box and needs to be 'returned to Sender'.
Send me the info for whom should be 'Homer' for this puppy and I'll take care of that before I ship it back out.
Second, I'm making up some simple stickers that will say 'HEAVY'. I'll do up a few sheets and include them with the box.
Our carrier told me that it took her by surprise because someone else had loaded her trays at the post office.
(It also weakened our large mailbox post, and I had thought I had braced for darn near anything.)
So I'm thinking we can be kind to future handlers and flag the box as being a tad on the heavy side given it size.

I'm going to start rooting and digging tonight and pack this puppy up with items from all the auctions and estate sales we've hit, and
stuff I've got in bins that I will never get around to using. (Get ready for some chuck keys gang <GRIN>)
There's a pair of slit saws stuck together, covered in the 'goo' and I'm trying to separate them so that I can glum onto one.
I'm figuring on sending it out early next week to Fitter Bill.

Got it this AM. Cardboard box in excellent condition. Going to the shop this afternoon to open it up. Christmas in May. I'll be sending a PM to the next recipient for mailing information.

Thanks for the update. Seems to be moving along nicely.

Box left today, just shy of 29 lbs. Took everything out of the box and spread it out on the bench, many thing in there, WOW. Picked what I just could not live without. I already had my "donations" ready to go.
Ed ke6bnl is up next.

Here is a picture of what I took from the box.

Finally found my camera. Was worried for a bit that I'd stuffed it in the Pass-around box.
Here's what I grabbed before sending it off.

what a fantastic idea. I know I'm a new guy, but i'd love to be part of this as well.

Very nice! This Pass Around idea has become "gifts from Santa at any time of the year". Our members are generous both in giving of helpful feedback and gifts wouldn't you agree?

Say the word and I will add you to the list. List your machines, so I can add them to your entry.
