i made a youtube video for the interested.
i apologize for the sound.
it's my first video with a go pro hero and i was not sure of the sound pick up. the idea should resonate even without a good soundtrack. the next video will be better i assure you.
thanks for watching.

Nice video Mike. Does the go pro have a zoom feature?
Thank You Jon,
short answer, i don't know!
i'm new to the go pro's, but i think i have a basic model that takes pictures and videos
it appears to have a fixed lens, but i could be completely out of the ballpark.
research is necessary on my part! :D

Cool, been thinking of getting one, just wondering.

What are you doing? Everybody knows you just throw it in reverse at high speed and slam on the brakes:D...........GOOD JOB!

Soooooo........ what's under the movers blanket at the lower right side of the screen?
Hopefully it's something cool. Cuz if it was in my shop, it would be covering up clutter and mess!

They are easy enough to operate, but the editing software is a little trick at first to get the hang of.
if you get the go pro at costco, it comes with a lot of bells and whistles

Thanks Dave :D
this chuck came off pretty easy for the length of time it was on the spindle- i really didn't expect it to back off that easily.
a small oops moment in reverse may have spun that chuck right off!

Hi Jake,
under the blanket is my antique Flather 16"x5' lathe.

she's kinda shy, and doesn't wannna (read: can't) play with the other equipment, until she gets some much needed attention.
I have a problem Jake, i'm a tool hoarder.
if i see a shiny, remotely cool, odd or interesting tool or machine, i get this compulsion to posses it.
it's a real PITA to see something really cool and have to remind myself that i already have enough projects to end my days, without addition. :chunky:

I have the same problem!

" Hi my names Jake.... and I'm a toolmonger."

In unison from the support group "Hi Jake."
