Centec2 horizontal mill refurb

Very nice!

Keep the updates coming.

I've since fitted a motor and the counter drive pulley's , but unfortunately through my total lack of knowledge I've found out the motor I purchased second hand is a 3 phase that's been wired to run as a single phase !!!!!! So I've now had to buy an inverter for it . I've also made a new handle for lifting and lowering the knew . First internal taper I've turned on the Fortis lathe turned out really nice . Also I had to move the motor over 2" and make two mounting plates drilled and tapped .

Too bad on the motor but there could be a bright side if you use a VFD you will have more speed control!

<http://www.lathes.co.uk/centec/index.html> Tont also has the manual and other info and he's in the UK.

Thanks dgehricke,
I've been on this site ,it tends to lean more on the later models .

I now have the vfd up and running and it works a treat ,just have to work out how to fit a variable speed control rather than having to alter the settings every time .
