I know some of you have seen my Millrite in the restoration subforum, but I thought I'd add to the new Powermatic group some more!

Very nice Millrite. I am on my second Millrite, and the second one was unused, NOS. I cleaned it up, but did not paint anything, added a Servo X axis power feed. Yours looks far better than mine does...
 
It's a nice machine, that's for sure. I'm in the process of adding a dro and Y axis power feed.
 
Nice. But needs the racing stripe over green.
 
I actually went to Lowes looking for Rustoleum Hammered Green, because it was supposed to be the closest color to the original, but they didn't have Hammered Green. I saw the Hammered Grey, and went for it. I don't like the green, but did want to go original...but to me the grey looks better...maybe too many years in the Navy, but almost every machine I have is grey of some shade.
 
Very nice work. I just took delivery on my mvn. Racing stripes and all. The machine needs cleaned up, and then I will post some pics. What voltage/phase motor do you have? Mine is 220/3 phase, vfd or rpc in my future. Does yours run a belt that looks like it belongs on a vacuum cleaner?

Mine came with the single phase motor, but I had a new Baldor 3 phase made to replace it....I just have to get it mounted, and the VFD hooked up. And yup, it has that tiny little v-belt. I had to order a new one off of Amazon for mine. The belt is small, however I haven't had any issues with slippage or anything like that. It's a great mill.
 
The factory Millrite belt (and good quality replacements) work just fine on those mills. They do not even need to be tightened, just snugged to work without slipping. They run smooth and quiet. The massive fasteners used for swinging the head to adjust the belt are way overkill for the job. At some point I am going to make some lever handles to replace the adjustment nuts. McMaster-Carr has them, but about $65 plus freight for the 5/8 and 3/4" adjustable position handle nuts. Also needs a handle for swinging the head to tension the belt.
