Collet closer

I was able to get the collet closer set up and I now understand it, pretty basic concept. What I don't know is how to easily remove the piece that sits in the spindle that you pull the collet into. I assume a fork type tool? There was nothing included in the box. This set up is in a PM1340 GT.

You should be able to run a broomstick or other wood rod through the spindle and gently tap out the collet adapter.

I use a 1" aluminum rod to knock the adapter out of the spindle.

That is part of the function of a thread protector. You should be using a thread protector if your spindle is threaded.
