Who has done this? I have the iGauging DRO coming and looking for mounting ideas.

There really isn't a good surface to mount the DRO so I made an aluminum box that replaces the plastic depth gauge thingy. Made it much easier to mount and align the DRO to the spindle. I'll take a couple of pictures and post them later this morning.

After much YouTubing, searching and head scratching I have a plan. We will see if it's a good one or not in the next few days. :grin:

Thanks for asking. It's a power downfeed. Did this several years ago using some spare timing belt pulleys and a DC gear reduction motor purchased from Surplus Center. The controller is from a treadmill I scrapped out (120vac in and 90vdc out). Up or down feed is selected with a DPDT switch and a potentionmeter controls the speed. The belt cover is kind of cheesy but is functional.
