Just thought I'd drop in and say hi ,I used to be on here quite a bit ,however the past twelve months have been pretty hectic with work and not had much of a chance to see how things are going on here .Hopfully now my work has become a little quieter I can have some time in my shop and get back into the swing of things .

Anyone got any basic and easy projects for lathe tooling etc on the go .Im looking for new projects still as always but over the last 10 months I've lost track of what everyone is making .

Hope your all doing well and in good health

Regards Nat

I had tons of fun making this vise stop for my mini mill, it is a bit more involved than a basic project but if I can do it, anybody can ,if you decide to go with it, OXO toolco also has his version on YouTube.
Here's a tip , draw the "S" shaped piece on a paper and then cut it out and glue it to the aluminum stock, make sure it is well centered .the link below does not do that and it makes the design more complicated than needs to be, other than that, it is a simple project. BTW don't worry if you don't have a rotary table to machine the arches you can grind them.

Hi Ken
Interesting vice stop that ,great video to go with it also.
Might have a go at a few more useful tools like these to get my brain activated again lol.
Any basic drawings for it ,It's not an issue if not as I'm sure I can wing it on that one

Regards Nat

Nat, It is simpler than it looks, the "s" shape body that I made was 1.125"x 2.5"x1/2" this was to fit a small mini mill table (with a 3" vise), you can change it to any size you'd like , I found the OXO tool co video , it'll help you understand how to machine every part:
