Do-All Surface Grinder (DH-612) Chatham, Ontario, CA.

It is in Canada, and the bid is already over $600. Manual machine.
Edit: I would NEVER buy a surface grinder from an auction house. Not looked at in person, no way to know the condition of the machine. Too many add on costs. Like additional freight costs for "loading."

This guy seemed to do alright. He never posted a follow up but he didn't mention any initial problems.

Would have loved to have one of those lathes and replaced the Birmingham...

It looks almost unused. Most schools don't know what a SG is for, so they are like new.

school machines = little wear v. lots of abuse

Auction is closed now. With tax and buyers premium, the price came to about $775 Canadian ($581 USD or thereabouts). It is a 3-phase machine so a home shop use would have to allow for that.

That doesn't seem to be too bad a price. I would like one someday.

All depends, I've seen them clapped out, I've seen them where they just sat their entire lives and were only used by the shop's instructor.
