Turcite is self lubricating but ir wears longer with oil. Cutting oil groves - you have to make sure they are never open to air as they will drain the oil. Im not sure what your cross-slide sets on. But check max travel and be surethe slide doesn't move out past the end and open to the air. If you scrape it sharpen your blade to a neg 20 rake / 40 Rand don't use a blade wider then 3/4" if your push scraping. If your pull scraping use a 5 neg rake and 40 R blade. Turcite depth of scrape should be approx. .002". don't cut or mill a straight oil grove, cut zig zag or diagonal. relieve the center 40% about .0005" so you know it isn't high in the middle. I could write more, but I have to get to work. One more thing..yes you can put turcite on the wear side of the gib. I would scrape the flats first at the more you scrape the flats the opening of the dove gets wider.
What does "push Notificaions mean?" it says HM is asking permission ??
