Reamer sleeves?

I just came into a few [and my first ] reamer lot. I have used reamers in the past but never owned any. After a slight cleaning they look to be in good shape. I have seen people store them in everything from custom made wooden boxes, to just tossing them in a drawer. I would like to get some of the clear plastic tubes [sleeves] and rubber ends that they often come in when they are new. Does anyone have a source for them, or perhaps a name for them? Thanks in advance.

I use blocks of hardwood to store reamers on end with holes drilled to fit the shanks and the sizes stamped on the top of the block.

I use Huot reamer indexes. They keep the reamers safe and in a very small envelope.

Lots of options out there depending on where you want to purchase from. They are commonly used by pen turners, bead workers, crafts people, etc. Search for “clear plastic storage tubes” and choose your poison...

I also use a Huot index for my reamer set but I buy the clear plastic tubes from Mcmaster to store random stuff. They call em shipping tubes. The tubes are cheap & you just cut to length. But the anti-roll end caps are kind of pricey. I buy vinyl caps from Mcmaster instead which is much cheaper. The sizes don't match up perfectly & you have to stretch the vinyl caps over the tubes but after a while the caps will stretch & be fine. https://www.mcmaster.com/shipping-t...ed~no/?SrchEntryWebPart_InpBox=shipping+tubes

Can cut the tubes with scissors or a razor but I use a cheap little HF chop saw to cut the tubes. Cuts them very clean & straight.

They also sell the telescoping tubes under the same shipping tubes page

Thank you all for the replies. Now at least I have a direction to head in.

Wow that mesh looks like the way to go. I found some clear flexible poly tubing, and added some wood dowels as corks, but I do not really like the end product. kind bulky . Nice that I can add the sizes, with a sharpie, to the sides and give them a squirt of oil inside the tubing so they are stored in oil. But not to professional looking. They also take up quite a bit of room in the drawer. I will probably add some of the mesh style to a future order and hopefully save a little on the shipping. Thanks for the reply.

Just a thought but maybe some shrink tube used for electrical work would work.
I have seen it in different sizes and colors, including clear, and it can be used as a protective in other ways.
