After I gave up on the shift work at centrelink I went next door to the bakers as they were recruiting and I mentioned I really knead a job. Unfortunately it was a 4am start. I couldnt rise that early and anyway I wouldnt make enough dough to live.

The fishmongers two doors down had a vacancy and I thought I could fill it but they cast around and netted some small fry at a very low wage.

Then I got a job driving a taxi but got the sack after one day. It seems the customers dont like drivers who go the extra mile for them.

Making mirrors is a job I can see myself doing as I have 2 to make for the binocular now I’ve gotten into astronomy, my future is looking up.

Sav, I worked for a baker once, too. He was a crusty sort, but my job was as easy as pie. But, I got fired for loafing.

I also had a job at a place that recycled batteries. It was revolting.

I tried barbering for a while, but I couldn’t cut it. I got fired for making too many waves.

I wanted to be an audiologist when I was a kid, but my parents said they wouldn’t hear of it. So, I said how about an optician? Dad said, “Sorry, son, I just don’t see it happening.”

So, I went to work on an oil rig for awhile, but that was boring.

So, now I’m unemployed. Easiest job I’ve ever had.
