OK, I know this isn't anything spectacular, but I thought I'd post it anyway. I have a 2520 John Deere compact tractor. As an option I can get the front wheel spacers. Well the spacers are a real pain-in-the-behind to mount. You have to hold the wheel and the spacer and then try to get the bolts started. They were made with just through holes. I decided to modify them so that they are first bolted the axle and then the wheel is mounted separately. The project really got me acquainted with my indexer.

Thank you for posting them Randy. I like it.

Lookin Good Randy!!! Are they also front wheel weights or just spacers. My little Yanmar tractor is very light in the front with the bush hog or tiller, soo I was thinking of adding wheel weights to go with the brush guard weights that are already installed. Every little bit really seems to help on the little 13 HP diesel.

You are correct Bob. They do add weight to the front, but that was not my intention, just a side effect. You are also correct on the tiller and mower, every little bit helps. If I really want weight up front I mount these brush guard weights also.

Bob just reminded me of the weight mods also. The full 7 weights would not fit in to the bracket so I had to machine some clearance. Here are some pics to show what I did.

Are those weights expensive? They might be a good source of cast iron. Dura Bar isn't cheap.

I just saw this thread. Nice job on the spacers. I'm guessing they are just to widen your foot print in front?

You are correct. Initially offered by Deere to allow the installation of chains for proper clearance. I just like the better tracking, I am funny that way.
