Peerless 13 inch 1912 Power Hacksaw

Got one myself. Bought it out of a scrap yard 25 years ago for $50.00. It was driven off a line shaft as it still had the idler pully and switching lever still attached. Have not been able to find a serial plate so I can't date it. Changed it over to a V belt and jack shaft arrangment. The main drive wheel was a large gear. I turned off the teeth and cut a V groove. I use it all the time cuts great and when thru the cut the arm retracts and shuts down. Can't beat good old American iron.

I did get quite as good of deal as you. I bought mine for $200. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the photos and info on this post. I just acquired the same version of this saw that needs a lot of cleaning and lubrication. And maybe more once I figure out if anything is broken or missing. And this info helps tremendously! Thank you!
