Two seat helicopter build.

Tomorrow I am ordering some more tooling for the mill. I have plans to mill out the lower swash plate unit. I also just bought the piece of aluminum that will be used to machine this thing out. The stock measures 8"x8"x2".

My attention has been drawn to the spherical bearing setup for the lower swash unit. I have this self aligning bearing that I think would work pretty well for allowing the swash plate to have its range of motion and it also has an extended length inner race which would be handy for use with linear motion on the main rotor shaft.

For machining the back side, I will make this adapter so the vice can have something square to clamp onto. To make sure the backside is machined at the correct angle, I will make a couple location bosses on the bolt pattern that the adapter can drop into.

Getting ready to machine out the upper rotating assembly. The top holes are for brackets that connect to the scissor links.

First parts! Exciting!
Watching with keen interest.
