Straightened it via the hammer & straightedge method, added some 1/2"x14 gauge square tubing as ribs, resulting in:

Unfortunately, the ramp is just too weak. I supported both ends, and stepping on it in the middle (I'm about 275lbs), it flexes almost 3", and stays slightly bent that way.

I'll see if I can salvage most of it by cutting the frame of it off (so all the inside bits are retained), and replace it with 1 1/4" x 3/16" angle.
 
Decided not to go halfway, so I reduced the ramp to bits. Saved a couple sections of angle iron, square tubing and the expanded steel, the rest is just scrap...

Only cost me about 4 hours and about $10 worth of cutoff wheels...

Also bought the shiny new metal and began cutting it up.
 
And a new ramp is born:

Same as the earlier one, just everything except the expanded steel is a little bigger and thicker. Still flexes a little under my weight, but doesn't stay bent, and feels similar to the other ramps I've made.
 
Yesterday i bought a little russian 4x4, it is a full on project, i left it outside overnight for the mice to get out and today spent half a day disassembling the interior and presure washing the inside and outside with bleach and degreaser, very dirty and hard work, after washing it twice from outside and underneath and three times on the inside, i took a break and left it to dry for a few hours. After the break i push it inside the big garage and got started, first thing i wanted to see if the engine is any good, so went to connecting the battery and found the terminals are burnt off, knowing only the thick cable to the starter is not fused began following it and found it has shorted on the exhaust manifold and someone put a piece of hose over it and again had burn thru and had only few copper wires left, so i looked thru my spares and found matching set of terminals and wires to use, and change both thick cables, at this point i was really tired so i finished for the day.

Made the mount & hinge for the ramp I made here (https://www.hobby-machinist.com/thr...you-make-in-your-shop-today.67833/post-615998), to attach it to my trailer. I left some room around the hinges (ie, I offset the tubes just over 1/2" from the trailer/ramp) so I could add a assist spring, as the ramp weighs about 80 lbs).

No pic as I got done after it was dark out....

I did remember to reverse how I installed the hinges (2 groups of 3 tubes, one group for each side, alternately welded to the trailer & the ramp), so it's like most hinges, where the two outside tubes are attached to the larger structure(the trailer), and the middle tube is attached to the smaller structure (the ramp).

Yes it is similar to the Kant Twist clamps only nicer. Maybe I should start a thread? Plans?

I usually shake my head (side to side) when I see homemade KTCs. However, Robert, yours looks like it was worth the trouble.
Very good looking work.
 
I picked up an Armstrong holder for 1/4 HSS tools, plus a box of HSS. I needed a way to mount it to my QCTP. So I machined a custom block.

Thank you Extropic. I know what you mean. It is usually cheaper and easier to buy one. Mine is kind of custom; made to clamp round to square for welding. The V block is lockable to prevent slipping. It is a gift for my brother. Number 2 is in progress (for me.)
