I've been using the 1/8" radius cutter quite a bit in prehardened 4140 lately. It's holding up fine, but I thought it best to have a backup. Then I realized I should have some other sizes.

Oddly, this set skips 1/4", but I already have that one.

This seems like such a good deal...could it be? We'll find out as I just ordered.
Thanks, MrWhoopee.

This is reminiscent of the old line "If this isn't a genuine 1 carat diamond, I've been cheated out of $50."

I'm always willing to take a $20 gamble on tooling. It doesn't have to provide much service to pay for itself. I bought a set of brazed carbide hole saws for something like $15. They were crap, but I still got far more out of them than they cost. I completely destroyed one coping 2 in. 304 S/S tube at 45°. When I was finished it only had one of the six teeth remaining, was badly bent and the shank was chewed up and broken, but it got the job done.

edit: Another advantage to these router bits is, because of the 1/2" dia. pilot bearing, they are exactly 1/2" at the point of tangency parallel to the axis. Makes it easy to know where to start.

I don't like the idea of those bits throwing incredibly hot chips at high velocity to be imbedded on my flesh.

Yep, that is what sold me. That and the half inch shank. Plus, I can use them for woodworking, too.

I run them 2x the speed of HSS for the largest diameter of the cutter and feed them gently. They don't throw anything anywhere the way I use 'em.

Would someone like to volunteer for a purchase, and flat rate shipping on my dime with PayPal, or Venmo? Won't ship to Hawaii, again. Sheesh

Be glad to Mike. Do you want the counter-sinks too? Should probably fill the small flate rate box.

Sure, that would be nice, can always use extras :) Let me know when you have an amount, and PM me your info, and I'll put the smoke in the wire.
Thank you

I forgot, that set of router bits does not include 1/4", want one of those too? That one is $10 on its own.
