In 06-How To embed YOUR media into your post, we learned how to embed media out of our personal albums hosted right here at Hobby Machinist. This is really useful for members who do not have a Vimeo, YouTube or some other media hosting site.

What if you have a YouTube channel and want to share them here? Or what about if you see something you like and want to share some cool single point threading video from YouTube you found? Read on to find out how to Embed YouTube Videos into your post.

Step 1 - Obtain the YouTube link. Underneath all YouTube videos is a Share button. Click that button.

Step 2 - Copy the Link (bonus tip: you can choose the start time of the YouTube video - make sure you set this before you click "copy")

Step 3 - Go back to your draft post and click the icon that looks like a picture with some film behind it.

Step 4 - Paste the YouTube link. Pasting can be done by using the keyboard command ctrl+V or by right clicking your mouse in the window and clicking paste.

Click continue and that's it! Post your thread or reply and enjoy! The nice thing about embedding the YouTube media is that members do not need to leave the Hobby Machinist site to view the YouTube video.
