1-3/16 end mill....how to hold in my mill?

If I don't pick up the Bridgeport in a few weeks everything will be considered extras

Largest collet is 7/8" I believe . Don't quote me on this , but it's the largest I have .

The cylindrical portion of an R8 collet is just under 1". 1" R8 collets exist but have an extended nose to support the tool.

Can anyone point me to 1-3/16 R8 tool holder?

Just checked MSC . They have a 1.250 holder . Might have to sleeve the 1.187 shank . That's an oddball if it is indeed a 1.187 shank . Another option is to bore out a 1" . Probably not worth it though if you only have 1 e/m with this size shank .

Make your own holder. It's a simple job. Youh vae to use your R8 collet though. My PM 935T will not run a 1" end mill. I put it in teh collet adn it refuses to run.

Here's my largest . 1.500 diameter R8 . Easier to sleeve an E/M than to grind that shank .
