I don't know why but I always end up staring at the forward reverse switch trying to figure out which way is which. I decided to make it more like all the bp machines I have used and found out it is super easy. This is on a stock manual machine. Took the phillips screw out of the switch lever exposing a square shaft with a bushing. on the f/r label plate there is a place to pry it up, turned that 90 degrees clockwise and snapped back in place, same with bushing and then switch. Now I don't have to look at the switch to inherently know direction.
