1340GT Ball Oilers

That is typical for the 1340GT, I recall the oiler in the back of the carriage and a few others being very difficult to oil. One reason why I added the felt pads. On the back of the carriage you have two flat surfaces, so there is no place for the oil to escape, as opposed to the front V-ways. I find that oiling while moving a surface or the feed is turning my help distribute the oil. Bottom line with hardened bed-ways, I think we will wear out before the lathe wears out. Really doubtful that the oiler is plugged. No worries.

Hmmm....I already replaced both knees with titanium, not looking for to other pieces wearing out!
 
mcmaster carr has them ,i added more to my wide bed 9" on the cross slide
