14-40 collet closer

Does anyone make a collet closer for the 14-40 gt

Matt had originally intended on offering one as an option but it looks like that never happened. Best bet is to contact JFK Precision and have one made. If I recall the cost was not that different. You may have to send them the spindle taper adapter to measure since the MT5.5 is a non standard taper.

That’s is for the 13-40 not the 14-40

Here's a link to a thread for installing a collet closer to a Grizzly G0709. The collet closer was originally for a different Grizzly lathe, so some modifications needed to be done. Might be something you could do with your lathe also.
