Can this motor be switched to 110v? It's from a Lienhard single lip cutter. I can, but would rather not run a dedicated 220v outlet for it.lienhard.jpglienhard 2.jpg

No. That is a 3 phase motor. You will need a converter or VFD to run on single phase.

It appears to be either 220 V or 440 V, and yes, 3 phase.

I do not think so. usually multi voltage motors have 6 winding's to configure for the 2 voltages. I only see three, that can be swapped from y to delta configuration.

A 110v to 220v VFD would let you run that on 110v if it isn't too big of a motor. A 220v VFD would be better but if you have to run it on 110v then one of these would probably do the job. If the motor is more than 1hp you will probably need a 20amp 110v circuit for the vfd/motor.

Yes, it's 3 phase of unknown horsepower rating- 0.18 CH must be the size rating but not sure what units they are using. 3240 is the rpm. Hmm, Oerlikon, didn't they make firearms during the war?

Other single lip cutters of this size are around 1/4 hp. I have found an alternate motor to use on it.
